Hermès introduces a series of iconic watches, inspired by travel and unlimited imagination.
The luxury brand brings new innovations to the Watches & Wonders 2022 exhibition in Geneva, Switzerland (from March 30 to April 5). The highlight in the display area is the Arceau Le Temps Voyageur – possessing the function of displaying 24 time zones, available in two versions: 41 mm and 38 mm, crafted from platinum, titanium or steel.
The dial design stands out with a fantasy map and surrounding time zones – which appeared on the silk scarf Planisphère d’un monde équestre – drawn by artist Jérôme Colliard. The Arceau Le Temps Voyageur version is 38 mm in size, made of steel with a main blue crocodile leather strap.
The world-time function of the watch is operated by a module consisting of 122 components integrated into the H1837 automatic winding movement. The black version is 41 mm in size, uses platinum material and the bezel is processed with DLC (diamond-like-carbon) technology and has a matte black tone.
Hermès introduces the Arceau Les Folies du Ciel model with a hot air balloon on the dial – the work of artist Loïc Dubigeon, which has appeared on Carré silk scarves since 1984.
On the mother-of-pearl inlaid surface, there are two neoralite hot air balloons vividly recreated in pink and green.
Two hot air balloons attached to the gondola are made of white gold, shaped like birds – a symbol of travel and migration. The company only produced 24 Arceau Les Folies du Ciel – reminiscent of the Hermès store address on Faubourg Saint Honoré street in Paris, France.
Hermès’ Kelly watch launches with a new shape, the strap is a metal bracelet made of gold or stainless steel. The design is inspired by the Kelly bag buckle – the classic symbol of the company born in the 1930s.
The face is shaped like a Kelly bag lock, swinging with each owner’s movements. Watch enthusiasts can change their style by removing the buckle and attaching it to a bell-shaped leather necklace.
