A twenty-year anniversary watch

Louis Vuitton Tambour, signature watch

Two decades ago, the Maison opened its doors into the (very exclusive) world of watchmaking and introduced the Tambour watch, which has become a symbol of the brand ever since. The watch is designed and manufactured at the workshop of La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, located in Meyrin, Switzerland, where it is treated with care and thoroughness. The iconic object has been revisited many times and is now available in many variations related to tradition and innovation. The Spin Time (2009), the Evolution (2014), Slim (2016), the Moon (2017), Curve (2020), Carpe Diem (2021), and the connected version Horizon Light Up (2022; see article by our “ Spotlight on Tambour Horizon Light Up “), just to name a few.

A commemorative work

In 2022, go back to the future with the Louis Vuitton Tambour Twenty. This version is on its way to becoming a collector’s item, featuring the brand’s signature colors: brown for the famous trunks (on the dial and strap) and yellow for the bag’s waxed threads (on the hand). The steel case is 41.5 mm in diameter and has a domed strap, engraved with the brand’s 12 letters opposite each other for the hours. Don’t be fooled by the classic appearance of this timeless watch: its technical performance is remarkable. Mechanically, it is powered by an automatic movement with chronograph function and a gold, slightly exposed oscillating weight.

This production caliber offers a power reserve of up to 50 hours. A true aesthetic feat of ever-flexible geometry.
