McLaren launched the 765LT as a special version of the 720S. According to the plan, only 765 long-tail variant vehicles will be produced, so production output is quite low. However, this supercar model still attracts the attention of many tuning companies with many upgrade packages.

For example, the car in the article was supplemented with carbon fiber parts by a company named Fostla.de Concepts based in Hannover (Germany). Also added orange stitching on the front splitter, side skirts, front trunk, roof, fenders and rear diffuser.
Novitec also added carbon accents to enhance the exterior, which is painted in Badlands Green contrasting with carbon and orange. The McLaren 765LT has a new N-Largo trunk lid and a specially made roof.
Of course, the car still has additional air intakes on both sides to optimize the vehicle’s aerodynamics.

McLaren is equipped with forged MC3 wheels with 20-inch front wheels and 21-inch rear wheels combined with tires sized 255/20ZR20 and 325/25ZR21; Wheel locks are specifically designed by Vossen for supercars.

Novitec springs lower the 765LT by about 0.078 inch (20 mm), bringing the chassis closer to the wheels.

McLaren launched the 765LT in March 2020, before the pandemic broke out. The 765LT is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 755 horsepower and 800 Nm (590 pound-feet) of torque. The car transmits power through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, shifting gears faster than the 720S.The weight of the McLaren 765LT is reduced by nearly 80 kg (176 pounds) compared to the 720S, allowing acceleration to 0-100 km/h in 2.7 seconds. Acceleration to 200 km/h (124 miles) in 7.2 seconds. The dry weight of the 765LT is 1,228 kg (2,709 pounds) thanks to the addition of carbon fiber components, titanium exhaust pipes and thinner glass.

The front bumper and splitter are refreshed as well as the rear diffuser and side wings to help increase downforce on the road by 25%. Improve the handling of the supercar.

In the summer of 2021, McLaren unveiled the 765LT Spider, which has similar performance to the Coupe model. According to the plan, McLaren will only build 765 convertibles, which can open/close the roof in 11 seconds at speeds of up to 50 km/h (31 mp/h).

Later this year, McLaren will end production of the 720S and complete production of the 765LT. The 750S will succeed the supercar and hopefully McLaren will develop many variants, including the next generation of the longtail.
