Last week, after the Pagani Raduno journey nearly came to an end, the convoy of more than 20 Pagani vehicles had the opportunity to visit the Autodromo Vallelunga racetrack in Campagnano di Roma, Italy. Here, Pagani owners had the opportunity to drive their expensive Hypercar around the track as well as have the opportunity to “admire” the brand’s newest model: Pagani Huayra R and witness the racing car. This shows off talent.

Even though it was announced in March 2021, the Pagani Huayra R was actually still in development and manufacturing at that time. Until last August, the Huayra R model actually appeared as announced by Pagani and until now, VIP guests as well as car enthusiasts have had the opportunity to see this racing car directly after a while. long time waiting.

The Pagani Huayra R model actually has details similar to the graphic images the brand has previously published. The racing car impresses with its exterior finished entirely in bare carbon materials. The body panels are finished with a glossy painted surface, the center of the front cover is finished with a matte carbon surface. The first prototype is decorated with prominent gold borders surrounding the car’s glass rim as well as running along the front hood and rear engine cover. The car is also decorated with the number “1” logo prominently on both sides of the car door, the rear engine cover as well as the front bumper of the car.

Pagani Huayra R is a Hypercar model developed by Pagani specifically for use on the racetrack and is the successor of previous extremely rare and extremely expensive models such as Pagani Zonda R or Pagani Zonda Revolución. However, it can be seen that, with the rarity of the car as well as the not cheap price, the Huayra R in the future will probably be more often in the garages and showrooms of car enthusiasts than used on the race track. the regular.

This racing car has a completely new monocoque frame made with the most advanced composite technology. The vehicle is equipped with fixed seats to ensure maximum safety for passengers. The car has a unique collision absorption structure with an anti-roll bar and a front frame made of aluminum-steel alloy designed specifically for racing cars. Thanks to these improvements, the Huayra R’s chassis has improved torsional stiffness by 16% and bending stiffness by 51% compared to the standard Huayra. According to estimates, this racing car weighs only about 1,050 kg.

Pagani Huayra R is equipped with a completely new V12 engine block developed in cooperation with HWA AG. This engine block has a capacity of 6.0 liters, is naturally aspirated and has a maximum speed of up to 9,000 rpm, generating maximum power of 838 horsepower and torque of 750 Nm. It took the two brands a total of two years to complete the research and development of this engine block. According to Pagani, this is the lightest, most powerful and most efficient racing engine ever produced.

This engine block weighs only about 198 kg, thereby contributing to reducing the overall weight of the Italian racing car. The vehicle is also equipped with a direct fuel injection system with injection pressure up to 200 bar to optimize performance by maximizing thermodynamic efficiency and freedom of injection flow. In addition, the car also has a new 6-speed sequential transmission developed by Pagani with HWA AG. This gearbox weighs about 80 kg and has a three-disc clutch made of metal with a special structure commonly used for racing cars. Pagani said that this gearbox can help minimize gear shift time, accuracy as well as achieve friction efficiency of up to 95%.

The event of the Pagani Huayra R showing off its talent at the Autodromo Vallelunga racetrack marked one of the first times the Huayra R prototype appeared in public. Immediately after this event, this Pagani Huayra R was soon transported to Zagreb city, Croatia to participate in an event gathering top class supercars and Hypercars in the world.
