The woman in the painting seems to be trying to surround herself with the strong vitality and outstanding appearance inherent in the abundance and fertility of pomegranates. The work takes full advantage of the vivid colors that are a unique feature of woodblock prints to create eye-catching color contrasts. The composition of the painting is mixed with the woman as the center, surrounded by a pomegranate tree with fresh, vibrant pomegranates.
