Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Riviera watch, Baume & Mercier presented the Riviera Azur 300m, featuring a smoky blue dial and gray sapphire decorated with a wave motif at this year’s Watches and Wonders Exhibition. The 30 ATM water resistance is inspired by the first Riviera divers’ watch launched in 1981. To calculate dive times, the 42mm stainless steel watch has a brushed steel unidirectional rotating bezel. gloss and satin finish with luminescent indicators. Blue or black lacquer marks the first fifteen minutes of color change.
As is typical of the Riviera, the dial is partially open to allow you to glimpse its inner workings, including the date mechanism. The bold hour and minute hands are partially coated with beige or gray SuperLuminova for best readability underwater and at night. They are driven by a beautifully finished self-winding Baumatic movement, offering a 5-day power reserve, daily accuracy of -4 seconds / +6 seconds, and magnetic resistance. to 1,500 Gauss. To demonstrate the reliability of its manufacture movements, Baume & Mercier now offers an 8-year warranty on any model equipped with a Baumatic movement.
The Baume & Mercier Riviera Azur 300m comes with a steel or rubber strap, which can be quickly replaced without tools thanks to the brand’s “Quick Strap” replaceable system. Pricing has not yet been determined at the time of publication.
